The week in review.....

Nothing major in the world of the C family.  Last week involved going to the board of education twice as a last resort to see if there were any services they could offer Clayton. They basically just told us that we were out of luck. I'm seeing it as a blessing in disguise. I LOVE spending my days with this little guy.

Never a dull moment.

One time several years ago, he climbed into the paper towels and I took a picture of him because it was so cute. So, with that, I've created a monster. Every.single.time we go shopping, I have to take a picture of him.

We started attending a new church. Husband and I have been struggling to find a place where we belong. This past summer, we've been to several different types of churches but didn't find a clicking moment. So, when Clay came out of church telling us that he wanted to go everyday, we knew that we were on to something. Then today, we picked him up, and he has been singing the books of the Bible song all afternoon. He's actually getting something from church now! And to be honest, the past two weeks of sermons have been so relevant to mine and Shawn's everyday life. We had always joked about this church because it is in a former car dealership. We called it the "Saturn church". But I'm pretty sure we'll call it River Ridge from now on ;)

In other news, I actually utilized my gym membership 4 times this week. The people at the front didn't know what to think when they kept seeing me come in day after day.

It's Sunday. What am I going to do? Make s'mores with my kids and watch Miss USA (because junk food and the swimsuit competition just go hand in hand!)

Have an amazingly blessed week, my friends!!!

Hi.

Let this serve as my introduction to the blogosphere. I have so many crazy ideas and thoughts going on in my head that would bore everyone on facebook, so I decided that a blog would be a great place to...let it all out.

I'm Sara.....

I'm 31 and in no way embarrassed by my selfie game.
WV, born and raised.

I have two kids and a dog.
K is 11 and she'll be in 6th grade this fall.
Clay is 4 and will be doing a combination of K-1st this fall.
Layla is a housebroken chorkie that could benefit from a dose of ritalin.

My husband is a Historian and I do the cool SAH mom thing. My house is hardly ever spotless, I enjoy pinning things more than actually doing them. I have a membership at planet fitness that I use maybe twice a month...for the hydromassage at that.

Sooo... I have an 11 year old and I'm 31. Yes, I was quite young when I had her. I like to think that we survived growing up together quite well.  When she was 3, I met my husband and he has been there ever since.  Fast forward a few years later, and we have a son.

So, we homeschool our youngest. We were told by several professionals that he wouldn't benefit from public school because he has a high intelligence for his age. (I know, blah, blah...bragging mom...blah). But seriously, we're not made of money and sending him to private school isn't an option; plus our public school system around here told us there's nothing they can offer him. So.... being that my husband and I are college graduates, we felt that we were prepared to give him a solid foundation.  We're Christians...but we decided to keep his education secular, just because....

So, I'm hoping to use this blog as a way to remember all the good stuff we do, and even the bad...because hey, I'm a realist...

So...this blog will be a random peek at the inside of my brain which should be scary enough to make people run right now.

With that said, Nice to meet you!
